Lately, smartphone manufacturers have been keen on adding more color options to their device lineups. Xiaomi has joined in on this trend by introducing a couple of new color variants for the Redmi Note 4. The announcement was made by Xiaomi executives earlier today. Instead of the original colors that were available with the Redmi Note 4, customers can expect to see the device in blue and black color options. With these two new variants, the Redmi Note 4 is now available in a total of five colors including options for getting the device in gold, silver and gray.
Xiaomi, however, has announced that the blue and black color variants are exclusive to the 3GB/32GB and 3GB/64GB models. This means that these two new color options are not available on the standard model.
Even though these new colors are new for the device, the internals stay the same. It still features the same 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The device is powered by 2.1GHz Deca-Core Mediatek MT6797 Helio X20 chip with the Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. It is available in two versions– one with a 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage space, the other with 3GB RAM and 32/64GB internal storage. Apart from onboard storage, the Redmi Note 4 has a microSD card slot for up to 256GB memory expansion. The camera onboard the Redmi Note 4 is a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with PDAF, an f/2.0 aperture and 5P lens. On the other side of the device is a 5-megapixel camera for taking selfies. A fingerprint scanner can also be found just below the main camera of the device. Just as it had done with its other devices, Xiaomi has included a 4,100 mAh fast charging battery to the device.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 sports a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display with a pixel density of 401ppi. The Redmi Note 4 is powered by a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 SoC coupled with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. This Xiaomi smartphone comes with support for expandable storage via microSD card (up to 128GB).
In terms of optics, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF (phase detection autofocus) and f/2.0 aperture. At front, the Redmi 4 features a 5-megapixel camera, which company claims can click 85-degree wide angle shots.
Further, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 supports a hybrid dual-SIM slot, which means users can choose to go with a combination of either dual-SIM cards or one Micro-SIM and one microSD card. The fingerprint scanner is located on the back panel right below Xiaomi Redmi 4's rear camera.
In terms of connectivity options, Xiaomi Redm 4 offers 4G with VoLTE, Bluetooth, GPS, Micro-USB, and Glonass. The Redmi Note 4 houses a large 4100mAh battery.
